Staff from Urban Group won 3 Awards in Singing Contest of
The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies

The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies held its 2004 Annual Dinner recently at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai. This is an annual gathering for the executives of its member companies as well as guests from related industry to review the past and look ahead for the future.

The Association has organized a Singing Contest during the dinner inviting member companies to nominate talented staff to join the competition. The Judging Panel was formed by a group of professional musicians, who based on the timbre, rhythm and devotion of the contestants as the judging criteria. Out of the 18 contestants, 5 finalists would be selected to perform at the Annual Dinner.

Three companies under Urban Group, namely Urban Property Management Limited, Broadway-Nassau Investments Limited and International Property Management Limited has nominated their staff members to join the Contest. Ultimately Ms Jay Kan representing Broadway-Nassau Investments Ltd and Mr Grant Wong representing Urban Property Management Ltd respectively won the Champion and 1st Runner-up of the contest. Mr Grant Wong also won the Best Performer Award among the 5 finalists.

Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group said he was very pleased at the achievements of his staff. He revealed, "Urban Group was the first in the Property Asset and Facility Management industry to introduce the concept of 'Human Capital'. We encourage our employees to 'develop their potential continuously', both in their daily work and all other aspects in their lives. Our two staff members who performed superbly in the Singing Contest well demonstrated their talents as well as their great potential to face any challenges at work."
