Urban Group, the Largest Property Asset and Facility management Group in Hong Kong lights up the central shopping hub of Tsimshatsui on 18th November through its 2004 Christmas Lighting Switch-on Ceremony cum Park Lane Shopping Carnival Launching Ceremony at the Park Lane Shopper's Boulevard.

Officiating at the Ceremony had Dr Edmond Cheng, managing Director of Urban Group; Mrs Grace Lee, Deputy Executive Director of The Hong Kong Tourism Board; Mr C C Yu, Director and Deputy General Manager of Yue Hwa Chinese Products Emporium; Mr Kevin M Woods, District Commander of Yau Tsim District of the Hong Kong Police Force and pop singer Ms Ella Koon.

1,100 feet long festive illuminations by 150,000 light bulbs at Park Lane

This year, the theme of the Christmas lighting at Park Lane is "The Pearl of the Pearl - Park Lane Shopping Carnival". Urban Group has designed a 1,100 feet long delightful festive decoration signifying a miniature of the landmarks of Hong Kong to promote an enjoyable shopping environment at the arcade.

Totally, 150,000 light bulbs have been used, which illuminates the Central Tsimshatsui shopping district with thriving colours.

Park Lane Shopping Carnival brings in new shopping experiences

Speaking at the Ceremony, Managing Director of Urban Group Dr Edmond Cheng pointed out that, "Urban Group has been managing Park Lane Shopper's Boulevard since its completion in 1986. Since then, we design a glamourous and festive Christmas lighting decoration for the shopping arcade every year, which has successfully established Park Lane as a popular shopping hub and a remarkable landmark in Hong Kong."

Dr Edmond Cheng said, "In this year, we also launch the Park Lane Shopping Carnival activities. From 18th November 2004 onwards until mid February 2005, we will launch a series of fabulous performance every Sundays to enrich the festive atmosphere and shopping spree of the people."
