Urban Group's Director of Corporate Services Mr Francis Chiu is recently awarded the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation by The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA). He is the FIRST executive in the Hong Kong's property asset and facility management industry to have obtained this worldwide recognition. The CHA designation is one of the highest recognition awarded by AH&LA (USA).

To qualify for this designation, professionals must demonstrate their skills and abilities through academic achievement and practical experience. AH&LA requires all candidates to complete comprehensive and stringent examinations on areas of hotel operations, accounting and finance, room service management, engineering, marketing and sales, catering management and human resources management. Moreover, candidates must also prove their strong commitment and dedication to the service industry and their eagerness to attain validated hospitality standards. AH&LA provides professional development opportunities to practitioners who want to advance their careers through independent study and professional certification programme.
