Urban Group awarded Best Property Management Company in Occupational Safety & Health

Urban Group recently received a total of 3 awards in the "Competition on Best Management Company" on the "Construction Safety Forum and Award Presentation" organized by the Occupational Safety & Health Council.

Among the 3 awards, Urban Property Management Ltd received the Bronze Award for Best Property Management Company in OSH, while International Property Management Ltd and Paramatta Estate Management Ltd respectively received the Merit Award for Best Property Management Company in OSH through their implementation of quality practices of workplace safety and health.

Dr Ng Tat Lun BBS JP, Chairman of the Occupational Safety and Health Council said, "The 'Competition on Best Property Management Companies' were first introduced in the 'Construction Safety Promotional Campaign' in 2004 to recognize the achievements and outstanding performance of various property management companies, and to heighten the safety awareness of workers in the property management sector. With the support of a good number of organizations in the industry, our campaign has created strong momentum fostering the development of OSH culture and demonstrating the determination of industry players in upholding occupational safety and health."

Mr Matthew Cheung Kin Chung, JP, Permanent Secretary for Economic Development and Labour (Labour) also revealed, "The new 'Best Property Management Company Award' was introduced to recognize the continuous efforts of those property management companies in improving OSH, and help the society understand the OSH requirements of the industry. It also serves to strengthen the partnership among different sectors and contribute to create a safer and healthier work environment for the workers in Hong Kong."

Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group pointed out, "Urban is committed to enhancing our occupational safety and health standards at work. We believe that a safe and health work environment can improve the work efficiency and quality of our staff. Thus, Urban has been working hand in hand with the OSH Council and all our Quality Partners to promote occupational safety and health in Hong Kong."
