Urban Group: The ONLY Property and Facility Management Group in Hong Kong
to receive 3 Overall Champions in 3R Recycling Campaign

Three properties managed by Urban Group, City One Shatin, Hong Lam Court in Shatin and Baguio Villa in Pokfulam received 8 major awards including 3 Overall Champions, 3 Champions and 2 Certificates of Merit in the 3R Recycling Campaign (Phase VII) launched by the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC), becoming the ONLY company in the Property Asset and Facility Management Industry to obtain all 3 championships in Hong Kong.

City One Shatin under Urban - Hong Kong's Premier Green Manager
Over the years, City One Shatin has been actively supporting and participating in the 3R Recycling Campaign launched by the EEC. The estate has achieved over the years a total of 22 major green awards including the Overall Champions in Aluminum Cans and Waste Paper Recycling Categories for 5 and 4 consecutive years respectively, recognizing the premier environmental management policy of the estate.
In addition, City One Shatin also received the Eco-Business Award - Gold Award from the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce in 2002 and obtained the Gold Wastewi$e recognition from the Environmental Protection Department in 2004, recognizing its outstanding contributions in environmental care and green management.
The 3R Recycling Campaign (Phase VII) Prize Presentation Ceremony was held on 29th September 2004 at Lung Cheung Mall in Wong Tai Sin. The EEC has launched the Campaign since 1998, aiming at promoting a green lifestyle to the residents living in both public and private housing estates in the territory. Every year, the EEC will count the total weight of recyclables and present an award to those outstanding estates for recognizing their contribution in environmental protection.
Urban Group's Premier Environmental Management Policy
Dr. Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group pointed out that, "Urban Group established the 'Green Care Committee' in 2001 with the goals of 'Environmental Care' and 'Green Lifestyle' to formulate our 'Premier Environment Care Management Strategies', which leads Urban to obtain the ISO 14001 Quality Environmental Management Certification in 2003."
Dr. Edmond Cheng stated, "Since 1998, Urban Group has been encouraging our customers in 320 properties under our service to join the 3R Recycling Campaign. Up to now, there are 6 properties under our management which have received a total of 33 awards in recycling and environmental care, reflecting our outstanding achievements in providing a green lifestyle for our customers."
