Successfully fulfilled 11 Waste Reduction Initiatives
City One Shatin under Urban Group
awards "Gold Wastewi$e Logo"

Managed by Urban Group, City One Shatin was recently awarded "Gold Wastewi$e Logo" under the Wastewi$e Scheme jointly organized by the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC), the Hong Kong Productivity Council and the Environmental Protection Department, recognizing the premier environmental management policy of the estate.

The Wastewi$e Scheme aims to commend and recognize the efforts of corporations in waste minimization and recycling. The "Gold Wastewi$e Logo" is presented to organizations which have devised their waste reduction initiatives and successfully implemented effective measures to achieve 9 objectives or above in 1 year in their daily operations. The Logo is recognition to their contributions to environmental management in Hong Kong.

In 2003, City One Shatin under Urban Group formulated 11 objectives in waste reduction and recycling, including recycling initiatives for used clothes, books, toys, second-hand electrical appliances, as well as waste reduction initiatives for paper, mobile phone batteries and paper. With the successful implementation of their recycling programmes for one year, City One Shatin was awarded the "Gold Wastewi$e Logo", confirming its excellent performance in green property management.
