"Volunteer Service Gold and Silver Awards"

Urban Group emphasizes on Community Care as one of its corporate strategic goals.

In 2003, the corporate volunteer team of Urban Group - Urban Group Community Care Team was awarded the Silver Award for Volunteer Service by the Social Welfare Department through contributing 622 hours of volunteering service to the society. Whereas the Lei King Wan Caring Team, formed by volunteers at Lei King Wan under the management of Urban Group, contributed outstandingly 1,015 hours of volunteering service and was awarded the Gold Award in Volunteer Service.

In addition, 9 volunteers from the two volunteer teams each has contributed over 100 hours of volunteering service and were awarded individual Silver Award for Volunteer Service.

Urban Group, Hong Kong's Premier and Largest Property Asset and Facility Management Group, has received the Caring Company recognition presented by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in 2002 for its endeavours to serve the community. Whereas in 2004, the Group has further extended their endeavours in promoting Corporate Social Responsibility when 11 companies under Urban Group obtained the "Caring Company" recognition to commend their efforts to encourage their staff and customers to participate in various kinds of social services. Besides, 17 staff members of the Group received the Caring Ambassador Certificates for their contributions in promoting a caring society.

Currently, properties managed by Urban Group have been striving to establish volunteer team to consolidate efforts from both their staff members and customers to contribute to the community. They include the "Lei King Wan Caring Team", the "Broadway-Nassau Community Care Team" formed by Mei Foo Sun Cheun residents, the "Riviera Gardens Community Care Team", the "Harbour Heights Community Care Team" and the "Park Vale Community Care Team". The volunteer teams play an active role in various local social service activities as well as encouraging staff members and customers to participate in volunteering service to build a better community.
