Chung On Estate under Urban Group wins
Green Property Management Award for 2 consecutive years

Managed by Urban Group, Chung On Estate in Ma On Shan received the Merit Award in the "Green Property Management Award 2004" (PSC/MBO/PMA Category). Organized by the Housing Department, Friends of the Earth (Hong Kong), Green Power and the Conservancy Association, the "Green Property Management Award 2004" aims to initiate public housing estates using green management measures as well as to encourage the participation of property management companies and residents in environmental protection.
The Award is divided into 2 categories, which are Housing Department Category and PSC/MBO/PMA Category (Private Estate Company/ Management Buy-Out/ Property Management Agent). Mr. Lau Kai Hung, Deputy Director/Estate Management of the Housing Department said, "Thank to the support of the property management companies, the Housing Department continues to achieve good results in waste reduction, recycling, estate greening and applying environmental procurement measures in estates. The adjudication panel also comments that the environmental awareness of the property management staff was enhanced obviously."

Chung On Estate, which consists of 3,000 units in 5 blocks, has been under the service of Urban Group since May 2001. Also, Urban Group is the largest private property management company in the Shatin, which manages 8 projects in the district, including City One Shatin, World-wide Gardens and Kam Tai Court, serving 60,000 people in 20,000 units with its premier services.
