2003 HKMA Quality Award - Overall Winner
Urban Group represents Hong Kong Quality Enterprises
to attend China Quality Management Award Presentation

Urban Group, a subsidiary of NWS Holdings Limited (HKEx No. 0659) and Overall Winner of the 2003 HKMA Quality Award, was invited to represent Hong Kong enterprises to attend the 2003 China Quality Award Winners Presentation, organized by the National Quality Management Association in Beijing in November 2003.
The Group was the only HKMA Quality Award Winner to attend the award presentation and shared its critical success factors in practicing quality management with the major enterprises in Mainland China.

The 2003 China Quality Award Winners Presentation was held on 20th November 2003 in Beijing. All the participants were corporate leaders and senior executives of 300 major enterprises from various provinces in Mainland China. The China Quality Award was appraised by the US Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria and the quality of all winning enterprises was recognized as fulfilling the international standard. All the winning enterprises in last year were the leading enterprises in the mainland.

Mr. Francis Chiu, Director of Corporate Services of Urban Group said, "It is our honour to represent Hong Kong enterprises to be the guest speaker of the 2003 China Quality Award Winners Presentation. Urban Group obtained the 2003 HKMA Quality Award - Overall Winner presented by the Hong Kong Management Association in July 2003, which is the highest honour in quality management in the territory, recognizing our outstanding performance and achievement in implementing Total Quality Management.

Apart from the HKMA Quality Award - Overall Winner, Urban Group totally received 140 major awards in 2003, which include: Best Employer in Hong Kong Award; 2003 Best Property Management Agent, presented by Hong Kong Housing Authority; and Facility Management Establishment Award, presented by Hong Kong Facility Management Association, ascertaining our excellent achievements in implementing total quality management.
