Lei King Wan (Management) Under Urban Group awarded
"Workplace Hygiene Recognition" & "Certificate of Merit for
Good Housekeeping Plan"

Lei King Wan (Management) Limited, a member of Urban Group, was recently awarded
the "Workplace Hygiene Recognition" and the "Certificate of Merit
for Good Housekeeping Plan" by the Occupational Safety and Health Council
(OSHC) to confirm their excellent achievements in providing a safe and healthy
working environment for its staff and the people of Hong Kong.
Organized by OSHC, the 2003 Good Housekeeping Seminar and Award Presentation
Ceremony was held on 10th December 2003" to commend the outstanding performance
of companies in successfully practising and improving their safety and health
level at the working place.
Under the quality leadership of Urban Group, Lei King Wan (Management) Limited has launched the "Health Broadcast" and the "Safety and Health Bulletin Board" at tower lobbies in the estate during the SARS epidemic in May 2003 to convey the correct message regarding social hygiene and safety to the residents.
Urban Group has been actively promoting occupational safety and health in its management portfolio. In August 2003, 8 companies under Urban Group obtained the "Certificate of Workplace Hygiene Charter" from OSHC, making it the only Group of Companies, which receives the largest number of this Charter in the Hong Kong property and facility management industry.
The 8 companies under Urban which obtained the Charter are respectively: Lei King Wan (Management) Limited, Urban Property Management Limited, International Property Management Limited, Paramatta Estate Management Limited, Turning Technical Services Limited, Urban Technical Services Limited as well as i-Urban Limited obtained. Together with the "Workplace Hygiene Recognition" and the "Certificate of Merit for Good Housekeeping Plan", these recognitions reflect the determination of Urban Group in striving for a safety and hygienic working environment for both it customers as well as the internal staff members.

The Group established its "Occupational Safety and Health Committee" in 1998 to promote and coordinate all related activities and to launch its OSH Ambassadors Scheme.
