Urban Group awarded "2003 Best Property Management Agent"

Urban Group, a subsidiary of NWS Holdings Limited (HKEx No. 0659), was recently awarded "Best Property Management Agent" by the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HKHA) to confirm its leading position as Hong Kong's Premier Property Asset and Facility Management Group and the Quality Market Leader of the 21st Century.
Organized by HKHA, the "Best Property Management Agent" selection is the annual evaluation exercise conducted by the Authority to assess the performance of its property management service suppliers in managing public housing estates.
According to Mr C M Leung, J.P., Permanent Secretary for Housing, Planning and Lands (Housing), the screening of the "Best Property Management Agent" had taken into account of scores given by the Housing Authority staff, comments from the Estate Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) or the Owners' Incorporations, and a survey on a sampling of residents. The awardees all showed a very high standard of performance in their services offered to the residents.
Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group mentioned, "We launched the 'Urban Premier Management Model™' in September 2002, emphasizing 'People, Process and Performance'. We advocate the concept of managing the property as an asset and aim at Six-star Standard as our management goal to exceed the expectation of our customers."

The two Best Managed Public Housing Estates which marked the attainment of Urban as "Best Property Management Agent" were respectively Sheung Lok Estate in Homantin and Tin Tsz Estate in Tin Shui Wai.
