International Property Management under Urban Group obtained ISO 9001 Certification

International Property Management Limited under Urban Group was recently awarded ISO 9001 Certification by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency to recognize its service quality by fulfilling the required quality standard.

International Property Management Limited became a major property and facility management company under the Urban Group since 1998. The company manages over 50 projects comprising more than 6,000 units, 3,000 car parks and over 120,000 sq ft of commercial spaces. The company also operates leasing services and provides tailor-made management services for individual clients.

Managing Director of Urban Group Dr Edmond Cheng said, "It's another milestone of us as International Property Management receiving the ISO 9001 Certification since Urban became the first property and facility management company to receive the ISO 9001 Certification in 1997. Urban Group has passed through unswerving pursuit of service improvement over the years, with the recent upgrade of our ISO 9001 Certification to the 2000 version. In the past few months, we work diligently for the certification of International Property Management. The success marks our consistent performance as well as the best result achieved by the efforts of our staff."

Dr Edmond Cheng continued, "In our unique 'Urban Premier Management Model', 'Continuous Improvement' and 'Exceed Customers' Expectation' are among our Core Drivers. Urban Group's ISO 9001 System is developed in accordance with the customers' needs, by formulating the operational procedures and service indicators, while setting up a continuous improvement mechanism that will undergo continuous review. Hence, the quality system is beneficial to our customers by the fact that we can steer our direction for continuous improvement to exceed our customers' satisfaction."

Urban Group launched its 21st Century Integrated TQM Approach - "The Urban Premier Management Model" in 2002 to enhance its service standard. Apart from obtaining the ISO 9001 Certification by most of its subsidiaries, the Group also obtains the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Certifications early this year respectively.
