Urban Group awarded 2003 Best Employer in Hong Kong

　　Hewitt Associates have conducted a series of systematic and modern researches to identify the "2003 Best Employers" from hundreds of enterprises in Hong Kong. Those companies being selected are hence well recognized as the best one among the best in the territory.

　　According to Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group, "We believe people are our most precious asset and our quality staff are our brand name. We have re-defined the labour relations in the Hong Kong property management industry through introducing the concept of 'Human Capital'. In Urban, we value our 3,500 staff members as our "Quality Working Partners", emphasizing mutual trust and team work."

　　Urban Group launched its industry unique "Urban Premier Management Model" in 2002, stressing on "People, Process and Performance". Through implementing this 21st Century Integrated TQM approach, Urban Group has established a corporate culture of Total Commitment and Total Participation within the company, which induces a breakthrough in their service culture and business growth.

　　As a responsible employer, Urban Group provides a safe and healthy working place to their staff. For instance, they set up a "Crisis Communications Centre" in early March to coordinate their preventive measures for the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and to centralize all the information flow within the company regarding the disease. Besides, the Centre also distributes hygienic facemasks and protective clothes to the staff to prevent them from contacting the virus.
