In December 2002, over 200 volunteers of the "Urban Group Community Care Team" under the Urban Group initiated a "Scarves-knitting Campaign" for the elderly people living in the Housing for Senior Citizens (HSC) in the public rental housing estates under its management.

The campaign aimed to collect scarves from staff and residents of its 300 strong managed properties and to distribute them to the elderly people living in the HSCs, which include Wah Oi House of Wah Kwai Estate in Aberdeen; Hong Tung Estate in Sai Wan Ho; Sheung Lok House, Sheung Lok Estate in Ho Man Tin; Un Chau Estate in Cheung Sha Wan; King Lam Estate and Ming Tak Estate in Tseung Kwan O; Chung On Estate in Ma On Shan and Tin Tze Estate in Tin Shui Wai.

Encouragingly, this charitable campaign also received support from secondary schools in the locale of the HSCs. Totally over 1,200 scarves were collected and each scarf was attached with a beautifully designed message card filled with warm greetings and wishing words from the donors. Volunteers from "The Urban Group Community Care Team" and representatives from the participated schools joined hand to distribute the scarves to the elderly during the Christmas Parties held at the eight HSCs respectively.
