Urban Property Management Limited (“UPML”), International Property Management Limited (“IPML”) and 9 properties under the management of Urban Group received the 2018 Security Services Best Training Awards on 22nd March 2019, which was jointly organized by the Vocational Training Council and the Hong Kong Police Force. The Awards acknowledged Urban Group’s commitment in setting up prolonged and extensive training plans for their security staff to continuously improving their service standard.
“This is the 8th consecutive year that UPML receives the Gold Award. This recognition encourages us to continuously enhancing our security services quality. We believe continuous training and on-the-job coaching will enable our frontline staff to acquire the latest knowledge and skills, thereby they could apply the techniques in their daily works.” Dr Edmond Cheng, Managing Director of Urban Group remarked.
Dr Edmond Cheng added, “We have been providing different training courses to our staff. The course contents evolve with time and coherent with market trends, covering crisis & risk management, customer services, hygienic measures, crime prevention, energy saving practices and occupational safety and health knowledge. In 2018, Urban Group organised 126 training sessions totaling over 72,000 training hours for our 4,000 security staff.”

Launched in 2010, the Security Services Best Training Award Scheme is jointly organized by Vocational Training Council, Hong Kong Police Force Crime Prevention Bureau and The Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority. The Scheme aims to motivate the property management services industry to raise their standard of security and property management, to provide quality security services and to prevent crimes.
