2.2) Quality Management
Urban Group was awarded the HKQAA Corporate Certificate by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) to become the first private property asset and facility management company in Hong Kong to receive this quality accolade. The award of the HKQAA Corporate Certificate has acknowledged the determination of Urban Group in implementing quality management systems for its subsidiaries.
The Corporate Certificate was awarded to HKQAA's certificate holders who have met the criteria that all subsidiaries, divisions or operating units within an applicant organization's core activities should have been certified by HKQAA against a single common standard and that the organization must be holder of a minimum of 3 certificates of the applicable standard to be qualified.
Urban Group became the FIRST private property asset and facility management company in Hong Kong to be awarded the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Certificate in full scope in 1997 as well as awarded the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certificates after its remarkable success. The Group emphasizes on environmental management and strives to achieve service excellence by implementing energy management policy and comprehensive customer complaint handling policy. As a result, Urban Group received ISO 50001 and ISO 10002 certificates in 2013 and 2017 respectively. In 2021, Urban Group obtained ISO 45001 which is the latest version of OHSAS 18001, recognizing its essential efforts on assuring occupational safety and health in workplace.
Urban Group focuses on continuous improvement and facilitated the associated companies including International Property Management Limited, Broadway-Nassau Investments Limited, Urban Technical Services Limited and Turning Technical Services Limited under Urban Group to receive the ISO 9001 certificate. In particular, Broadway-Nassau Investments Limited was awarded ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certificates in 2006 and received ISO 45001 in 2021. These achievements have demonstrated the Group's consistent pursuit of quality management and consolidated pioneer position as the Quality Market Leader in the Hong Kong property asset and facility management industry.
